Joseph Castillo, 22, Dies After Single-Vehicle Truck Crash on Norwalk Boulevard in Whittier, California
Joseph Castillo, 22, died when a truck struck a tree in Whittier, California, on Sunday morning.
Whittier police dispatched officers at approximately 8:48 a.m. to the 5800 block of Norwalk Boulevard, west of Palm Park.
Officers found Castillo and the driver deceased inside the vehicle.
The Los Angeles County medical examiner’s office identified Castillo as the front-seat passenger and reported that Castillo was not wearing a seat belt.
The medical examiner’s office determined that Castillo and 22-year-old Victor Vasquez, the previously identified driver, sustained multiple blunt-force injuries.
Local authorities continue to document the circumstances surrounding the single-vehicle crash, which was reported on October 20, 2026.
